Ambassador

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful

Dear Honoured People of Namibia,

It is a great privilege to have recently arrived in Windhoek and to have presented my Letter of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, on October 29, 2025.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Namibia share over 35 years of enduring friendship and cooperation, rooted in Iran’s steadfast support for the Namibian people during their struggle for independence under the leadership of the late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990, our two nations have built a solid foundation of mutual respect and shared values.

As Ambassador, I am committed to further strengthening these historic ties and to advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest—particularly in trade, investment, energy, health, and education. Together, we can open a new chapter of partnership for the benefit of our two peoples.

My colleagues and I at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Windhoek warmly welcome engagement and collaboration with both the Government and the private sector of Namibia to deepen and expand our bilateral relations.

Mohammad Bagher Beigi

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Namibia
